DEFENDERS Service Desk Technical Analyst in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Overview

This position supports installation, maintenance and testing of computer systems and peripherals within DEFENDERS established standards and guidelines; one-on-one consultancy to customers and network staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with the installation, configuration, and usability of desktop computers, telephony equipment, and hardware peripherals.

  • Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.

  • Works with the Senior Service Desk Technical Analyst, Business Support Team Lead, and Network Operations staff as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from clients.

  • Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, application servers, and administrative systems.

  • Responsible for ordering and the on-going inventory management of stationary items to be used by all of the IT staff functions.

  • Provides on-call support after hours as assigned and required.

  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree or relevant technical experience.

Skills/Background:

  • Exposure with Android and iOS devices

  • Exposure with Microsoft client operating systems.

  • Excellent problem solving abilities

  • Awareness of Active Directory and performing basic user management tasks

  • Experience with Office products suites and equivalent Outlook versions

  • Awareness of Microsoft patch management solutions

  • Awareness of Microsoft system management solutions

  • Interest in VoIP technologies

  • Interest in virtualization technologies
