DEFENDERS Manager of Business Intelligence in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana

Overview

Reporting to the Director of IT, the Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) will work closely with DEFENDERS senior leadership key functions (Marketing, Sales, Field Services, Customer Care, Finance and Accounting) to understand business needs, analyze current technology capabilities, proposespecific application strategies, initiatives and enhancements to align the technology to meet business needs. The Manager of BI will lead the execution of reporting and analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build/Grow a high-functioning team of IT professionals who accomplish the mission

  • Partner with the business to understand their anyalytics needs and look for opportunities to enhance our product offering.

  • Offer strategic guidance to both analysts and business teams on how to best leverage our tools.

  • Map out data architecture needs and act as a liason to the organization, guiding projects and teams, ensuring their data needs are met with relevant BI tools.

  • Demonstrate/Incorporate Defenders’ cultural values

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

Skills/Background:

  • Excellent understanding of data mining, data visualization and statistical modeling.

  • Experience with database querying (SQL) and writing / interpreting complex queries and ETLs.

  • Experience in utilizing cross-platform research data to create thoughtful and innovative audience analysis and be able to provide holistic analysis and insights on the brand as a whole.

  • Has mastered working with multiple stakeholders and peers in high stress environments, with varying personality types, and still be able to adapt communication and management style to achieve overall collaboration.

  • Strong relationship development and communications (verbal and written skills).

  • Experience working with end users to gather requirements and build technical solutions from concept to implementation. Ability to facilitiate meetings and delegate responsibilities.
