DEFENDERS Manager of Application Development in INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana


Responsible for supporting, developing and leading a technical team delivering enterprise application solutions to multiple business stakeholders. Key business functions supported by this role include finance, accounting, inventory, payroll, human resources and quality assurance among other back office processes. Additional responsibilities include alignment with enterprise strategic objectives, communication and relationship management, budget facilitation, and management and support of other departmental goals.


  • Talent management and development, including hiring, coaching, growth, and leadership development.

  • Collaborate with other leaders in the business to understand and develop enterprise strategy and priorities. Facilitate and influence the prioritizing of business unit technology projects and project administration to ensure that strategic objectives are met.

  • Partners with the architecture team to evaluate technologies in order to streamline processes, add value, and minimize risk.

  • Develops, maintains, and enforces adherence to application development methodologies and best practices.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and technical staff to meet high standards of quality and enable faster delivery of value.


Education: Bachelors degree or greater

Skills / Background:

  • Excellent communication and relationship building experience and skills

  • Experience and thirst for working in a fast moving, growing, dynamic and fun environment.

  • Broad experience in the back office.

Minimum Years Experience: 7+ years' experience within application development. 3+ years' experience managing application development projects.
